Family Time...

There is nothing better than family time! Either those times to giggle, tease, laugh, or just to sit and hold each other. That is what a family is. I praise God often for these times we get to have together. Remember that each is special and you can't redo them. You get them as they come. That is what makes them so uniquie and bonding to each other. Capture the moment (as Kodak would say) and hold it tight. Go have a good time with your family, I'll be back later after I spend the day with mine.

Where are the sailor's....

Do you remember the words to a song asking "Where have all the cowboy's gone?" Well this is what came to mind when I was out on the pier. There are two old aircraft carriers, which are being made into museums or such. It's part of the base that they have closed down. If your familiar with out govt. they have done this thru out a lot of our military bases. So I ask "where have all our sailor's gone?"
I've found all kinds of things while out walking on the dock. The old tie downs (called cleats), some broken. Wow what it took to break one of them. They are huge. Some still have ropes (the ropes are about 5 inches around, and or metal cables, giant pulleys. Now there are weeds coming up and birds making homes, and yes, men like, my Lester, are out there fishing. I guess I'm just saying remember out military whether past or present. They need to be held up in prayer...that they know or come to know the Lord, and are safe in their work trying to keep us, and our country safe.

Time in KY...

What a TIME we had in KY this last 4th of July...Joy, laughter, tears, and sadness. We had them all. We got to spend sometime with my niece which I haven't seen in 8 years. Please keep Lindsy in prayer. She was trying to go to her father's home. But had to go back to her mother's. It's a long story. We pray the Lords will in thier lives and home. It's hard to understand why the Lord allows somethings, I know we grow stronger during each trial. But some are so much harder than others.
We got to spend time with my daughter and her husband, and their childeren, and my parents & friends. The kids have all growen so much. (I have a picture of each except Josh. I'll post it as soon as I get it off the other camera.) Boy did we have some laughes with them. I got to take my cousin's daughter Emily with me to play with and see our Emily. They had a great time walking and talking!!! (yes, LOTS!!!) We seen the fireworks, they were ok, we had rain. The kids were such a joy. I hope you all had a good 4th also.
