A wonderful email...

This was mail to me today. I praise the Lord for it. It amazes me when I'm going though things and you least expect it the Lord reminds you the He is there. I pray this encourages you as much as it has me.

He Makes All things New

Today's Scripture

".and He who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new."
(Revelation 21:5, AMP).

Today's Word

When God puts a dream in your heart, when He puts a promise on the inside,
He deposits within you everything you need to accomplish that dream. He
wouldn't give you the desire to do something without giving you the ability
to fulfill it. In fact, the scripture tells us that God gives us the desires
of our heart. In other words, He puts the desire inside of us and then works
with us to bring it to pass.

Oftentimes, people set out to accomplish their dreams, but they face a
setback or disappointment, and then they feel like their time has passed.
But let me tell you today, no matter where you've come from, no matter
what's happened in your past, God wants to make you new. He wants to give
you a "do over," a fresh start. If you feel like you've missed opportunities
in your life, if you feel like your time has passed, remember, today is a
new day. You are a new person, and God has new opportunities in store for
you. If one dream has died, it's time to dream a new dream.

A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for making all things new. I give You this day
and invite You to have Your way in every area of my life. I choose to
receive all the promises You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen

My mitterns...

I know I was to be making socks....but as you can see I started something a whole lot better! Ok so I am procrastinating.... I do that alot. I was made to procrastinate. So what do you think of Bri's "Bella Mittens"? We both love them! I think I have come up with my new favorite. I know they are not completed yet. But give me the afternoon. I'll post the finished project then.

I'm thinking if I can make these whats a sock? I must be able to do a stupid sock! I just haven't been able to. So when I finish these I'll give it another try. So far I finished one that's big enough to fit a size 20 foot, with a growth on the heel. Then I started another... well I've had to remove about 20 stitches because it was on the same path as the other one. The first was a top down, the second a toe up... yes, I'm on gauge and all that. So we shall see how it goes after I finish " The Mittens".

We had a great time!

We had the first Knitting Bee with the new store in Summerville, SC last Thru. night. It will be the 3rd Thur. of each month. About 20 people were there knitting and learning how to, and several others just came by to shop and look.

I met some really nice new people, and seen several I already knew. All went fantastic. Everyone talked, laughed, learned some new tricks. There was food and drinks. No bad language! I was thrilled about that. We had all different age groups and projects going. Emily (the owner) I think was really thrilled how it went.
I will definatley be going back. Thank you Emily!!!

Yes, I'm learning something new....socks. We shall see how they go. I made one yesterday. It came out huge. Of course it was wool!(those that know me know I'm allergic to wool!) So I washed it and put it in the dryer. So we shall see if it shrank enough. heehee! So I went to the Village Knittery and found a book on how to make them I do think that might help. So I'm on to trying it again.... I'll let you know how they come out.

Hey Shell thanks for the cook out. Brianna and I had a great time. Hope we get to do it again soon.

One of my favorite sayings....

One of my favorite sayings is by Hellen Keller. I am amazed by such wisdom in one which missed so much. Then I think of the things the Lord showed her which she then taught to us.

"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be see or evern heard, but must be felt with the heart."

I only hope I learn this kind of wisdom during my lifetime. Have a wonderful blessed day. Rebecca

What a beautiful day!

It's beautiful out today. A nice 75 degrees, sunny, slight breeze. I feel like it's summer after being in Newport, Ri in 10 degree weather with 30 mph winds. It makes me think of when we first moved from Brockport, NY here to Charleston, SC. We left a whopping of a snow storm in March to land in Charleston evening to have brids singing and about 70 outside at 8:00 pm. The next morning we were playing in the Atlantic on the Isle of Palms. It felt as warm as Lake Ontario in July!

I talked to Lester (the love of my life) this morning. He said the high today in Newport was to be 35. He had his window open to his room while he's working on something. Please keep us in pray on if I will be able to go back up to see him. He's going to MD in the morning, then may be coming here for a weekend.

I've been knitting my fingers to the bone latley! Yes, Ashley.... for you! Ok... so it's for Miah. But still your family! I feel like mom. I have to knit all year to get everyone ready for the cold. But... guess what I love it!!! So I don't mind spoiling you all. But I do need pictures of them all wearing them. weather they fit or not. I'll get a good smile.

I pray that you have a wonderful Lord blessed day. Remember Be still and know that He is God!

Our last week...

Hello Everyone,
Let me start with this last week. It has been both a trial and a rejoice time. A dear friend of ours has passed away after quite a fit with cancer. They had told him and his wife that he had a matter of weeks to maybe at best a couple of months. But... If you know the Lord then you also know that it was just man speaking not God! Steve had made it a couple of more years! Praise God! He got to spend some much needed time with his wife Ellen, and their 11 childeren. They had just lost one of their sons "Josh" six month ago to the day. They have been thru much... But they have kept their eyes on the Lord to guide and lead them.

They and their childeren have been an insperation to so many. The Lord has used them in so many different ways. Where others would be falling... they keep looking at Him who will save them and get them thru. I'm not saying they don't have feelings like the rest of us. I'm saying they trust in the Lord to do ALL things.

Please keep them in prayer that the Lords will will continue to magnify and grow, to lead and guide them in all things at this time. To protect them form everything that would try to come against them. In Christ's Name. Amen.

I want to take this time to thank everyone who came to be with "The Hingles" this last week. I know there were over 200 people staying in aboubt 5 houses in "the valley". I tried to get all the names... guess what you that know me know I don't do names! But still to all THANK YOU so very much!

Lester and I traveled to Richmond VA from Newport RI, to meet Brianna. She road by herself from Char, SC to Richmond to meet us. Thank you Lord for watching over her. We stayed the night in Richmond, then went on to Columbia, KY. Thru sonw, rain, and ice. We made after a 12 1/2 hr drive. My daughter Ashley and her family went from Wash. DC to KY. We had familyies from Wisconson, Illinose, Indiana, New Orleans, Calf. The Lord watched over everyone.

Just at Ashley's house there was 5 families with over 35 people all together. I hope you all have a good afternoon. I'll write more later. I'm on to my knitting...
